Letter To Stefano Julie Brigidi
You and I go to the beach to celebrate the sunny day. We play in the waves and our bodies turn rich shades of brown. We play in the brackish pond water that is gentle and warm like bathing in tears. You are afraid of the lovely big crabs that hide in the mud, so we dig one out of the stench for me to wash so you can hold it and combat your fear. And then I lose you in the beach crowd. My fear is taking hold. What if you were stolen? What if you drowned in the surf? And I wake up to sunshine and cats sleeping on my bed… and I know that my child is gone forever and I cry and smile thinking of you in Africa in the heat. I know you are a man now, a gorgeous loving man. You know you are loved. You are a blessed soul. << Previous Page |

"Hannah Goodman has written a wonderfully witty, engrossing and hilarious novel about sisters and their relationships. Her prose is dead on and her scenes flow effortlessly from one to the other. I can't remember the last time I stayed up to finish a book, but I had to finish My Sister’s Wedding!" Rosemary O’Brien, Author of First Saturday

In the 2005 fall issue of East Bay Living, syndicated columnist cited several famous authors like Grisham and Patricia Cornwell as her favorite authors. She also added, "I also like local authors. There's a young adult book (My Sister's Wedding) by Hannah Goodman, a teacher who lives in Bristol (RI). It has great dialogue."
